A brilliant piece of writing as always Lisa. Felt like I was there with you. Gorgeous photos as always too. So glad you had such a calm filled inspiring summer. Sets us up for a calm filled winter xx
We have these spiders we call daddy-long-legs, with small bodies and very long, delicate stilt-like legs. Completely harmless. They do like to find places with residual warmth on cool nights. Once I accidentally left my tent unzipped and when I went to bed that night I found maybe 50 of these spiders inside. I tried to brush many of them out of the tent, but you can imagine what that night’s sleep was like.
Haha! Yes, we have daddy long legs in. Australia and here. They’re quite lovely but I don’t think I’d want 50 in my tent! 😳 Rookie mistake, leaving the tent open. Bet you never did that again! 🤭😅
Loved the way you described your interactions with all the different creatures in nature. The pics made me feel calm. Now I am inspired to open up our tent and camp in our backyard... Just to hear the birds ❤️
Love this as I am a big camping fan - albeit for a weekend normally with kids. Did you live in a tent all summer?
Yep! Two months. It was a big tent, 2 rooms. So lovely (and a very glam kind of bed)
Always amazing sights and sounds in nature. Lovely.

Thanks so much, Lou 💖 Winter is coming… 😂
