if I had synesthesia
If I had synesthesia, the world would be a kaleidoscope of pink-crimson-vermillion as the love I feel for you is realised, made technicolour. A splash of orange-tangerine licks the edges, fire-like as my heart swells. Each breath a declaration, a downpour, a revelation; blue-indigo-ultramarine, cool like fire, as air from my lungs confirms your existence. Swathes of shimmering copper-claret-rose caress my skin, tracing the path your fingers just left. If I had synesthesia.

Spirit Longing
Across oceans, rivers, mountains, Whole continents in between, My soul found you. Gliding over the planet To merge with yours. Connected without knowing, Boundless passion igniting, Minds ignorant Of the soul’s growing desire. We collide, Our souls, entwine, Overwhelming the world, A psychic tsunami of passion, Before bodies ever touched. Forests in far-flung lands, Whole heaving oceans witnessed Our lust and passion. Corporeal bodies, following slowly, A step behind connected souls. Sensuously, we unite, Souls sighing, relief, Pleasure, passion escaping Our lips, touching, Skin to skin, At last.
